Danforth Veterinary Clinic

This project required:

The Business

Located in Toronto’s east-end, this local veterinary clinic’s website was outdated in both look and use.

With poor usability and virtually no search engine optimization, the website wasn’t delivering any local traction and the users they did get were finding outdated or incorrect information.

The Goal

Through consulting with the clinic’s owner and staff, we decided they need a website that:

  • would load quickly
  • was easy to use
  • enabled visitors to easily find service information
  • was attractive and welcoming
  • ranked in the local search results
  • ranked in the organic search results
  • encouraged people to call

The Solution

To address these challenges, I put together a plan that:
  • moved the website into a proper hosting environment that was fast, provided website security, backups and an SSL certificate
  • optimized the overall website page speed
  • used lots of white space and clearly identified important content elements such as contact and individual service information
  • appropriately grouped their services
  • optimized their on-page search engine optimization factors
  • optimized their local search engine optimization visibility

The Result

The website is now performing well, with a big increase in user views both locally and through organic search results.

Clinic management say they have noticed an increase in not just calls, but new clients as well.

Visitors often comment that the website design was very easy to navigate and that finding their contact information was simple.

This project was completed in about a month and the clinic has been enjoying great results ever since.
