This local real estate agent offers lower buying and selling commissions than traditional agents and wanted to get his message out there by educating prospective clients about his services.

The Goal

This local real estate agent needed a website that:

  • was fast and easy to use
  • simplified an often complicated service definition
  • provided a consistent call to action
  • was highly visible for specific search terms
  • connected with searchers
  • converted website visitors into good leads

The Solution

To address these challenges, I put together a plan that:

  • Gave the website a proper hosting environment that was fast, provided website security, backups and an SSL certificate
  • optimized the overall website page speed
  • used lots of white space and clearly identified important content elements
  • Clearly defined the service offer and how that would affect potential clients
  • optimized the on-page SEO factors
  • optimized the off-page SEO factors
  • optimized overall local SEO visibility

The Result

By simply clarifying what is typically a confusing subject (low commissions), people are better able to understand what is being offered and how it personally affects them.

People needed to know that Wade did not offer sub-standard services, which is a common misconception about agents offering lower commissions. His website clearly conveys this message and people are responding in a positive way.

Wade’s website now appears in the search results and receives an appropriate amount of visitor traffic for this niche.

Leads are up and he can now count on this source of traffic indefinitely (as opposed to paid advertisements, for example).

It should also be noted that the real estate agent market is very competitive and getting consistent online traffic is definitely an accomplishment.
